How to Gain Ranks

In boy scouts, everything done is something that can take you one step closer to the next rank. The key is experiential learning, which means that you have learned something through basic action. For instance, rock climbing, picking up an instrument and playing it, or learning how to cook.

However, when in the scouts, it isn’t enough to simply do it once. It does not mean you have completed it and it does not mean it has ended. A scout is often put into situations that require their skills to be used, enhanced, and strengthened. This is because personal growth is the overall primary goal of any troop member. You can also advance by mentoring others. This is only one way that you are given encouragement and incentives for continuing to learn.

To earn a badge, you must try to learn. To achieve the ranks you want, you will have to master it to the point that you can show others how to achieve your badges.
