Re:      Three Fires Council District Realignment

One of the remaining action items from the Three Fires Council 2016 Strategic Plan is examining how best to serve local Scouting units. As a result, multiple volunteer task forces have developed a District Reorganization Plan that we feel will improve direct service to Scouters and the Scouts they support.

The Three Fires Council will be reducing the number of Districts from ten to three. Each District will be staffed with a team of Council employees to support the four functions of a District (Membership, Service, Program and Development). There will be no planned reductions in overall staffing levels.

The new Districts will be phased in over the remainder of 2019, this will allow previously scheduled events to continue as planned. District leadership will work over the summer to coordinate and align events, meetings and realign committees to the Three-District Model. It is our hope that 100% implementation will be reached by the time school starts again at the end of this summer.
